The Deadgummits

The Deadgummits are a "Rootscoustic" tribute group from Tulsa, Oklahoma, dedicated to the music and legacy of The Grateful Dead. Known for their unique blend of blues, roots, and rock 'n' roll, their sound is characterized by a "Hippie Hee Haw" style featuring acoustic instruments such as fiddle, banjo, mandolin, and uke and bass. 

 

Band Members

The group is a nine-piece ensemble led by Rex and Heather Langley. As of early 2025, the lineup includes: 

 

•Rex Langley: Our fearless leader and conductor extraordinaire - Vocals and Guitar 

•Heather Langley: Vocals, mandolin, washboard, and auxiliary percussion; often described as the "engine" or "North Star" of the band.

•Eric Ryan-Johnson: Fiddle maestro known for blending traditional Appalachian styles with spacey effects.

•Damon Daniel: Percussionist and "human metronome" who frequently plays a custom-built cajon.

•Andrea Kyle: The queen of the keys and harmonies - keyboard and vocals

•Stu Blake: Steadfast Stu with the heady rolls - banjo

•Bryan Jenkins: The ace of bass - playing everything from stand up to uke to electric 

•Dave "Shug" Morrow: Graces each tune with his secret spice  - harmonica 

•Steve Andrest: Our very own Jerry, a multi-instrumentalist providing the electric shimmer to the acoustic operation - lead guitar
