Front Porch
Described by Ozark Highlands Radio as a "post-punk old-time acid jazz barn-burning bluegrass fusion," Front Porch creates an energetic sound that consistently gets audiences jumping. Since independently releasing their debut album Shallow Grave in late 2023, the band has gained national attention for live performances that showcase driving melodies and skillful instrumentation, specifically foot-stomping clawhammer banjo, ripping mandolin, guitar, and fiddle. Their rising status in the scene is marked by consecutive nominations for Bluegrass Band of the Year at the Arkansas CMAs in 2024 and 2025, alongside stage time supporting legendary artists like Béla Fleck and Del McCoury.
Currently on tour for their sophomore album, Toolbox, the band continues to push the boundaries of American roots music. This latest collection features a diverse yet cohesive range of styles, as all four members contribute as songwriters:
-
John Henry (Guitar): Pairs thoughtful storytelling with high-speed guitar runs on "Great Grandaddy’s Barn".
-
Cameron Keeling (Bass): Delivers a traditional bluegrass feel and high lonesome harmonies on "Truer Words".
-
Alex Hawf (Mandolin): Introduces dark, jazz-inspired melodies on the tune "Skvader".
• • Petey Wesley (Banjo & Fiddle): Brings an old-time vibe to the track "Meet me in the Ground".
