A formal graduate of the Fredonia School of Music, Bowden has spent a lifetime absorbing and performing the foundational sounds of American roots music. His musical travels have taken him from the San Francisco bay to west Texas bands, and eventually to the Missouri Ozarks, where he has spent the last quarter-century teaching music and playing everything from local Eagles Clubs to regional festivals. Along the way, he has shared stages and spaces with roots-music royalty like Emmylou Harris, Lloyd Maines, and George Thorogood.
